FACES FORGOTTEN OR NEVER KNOWN
Installation (2021)
Statement
An exploration of the subconcious. Everyday of our lives we subconciously document the people and things we see. Dreams are comprised solely of faces we have seen before. Maybe they can't be placed, maybe they're someone close to you. Nevertheless, they exist in mystery within all of us.
This installation is an immersive visual experience of the faces I have documented in my time here on earth. 60+ faces presented themselves to me and came through in the work. Walking into the installation is entering the concious realizations of those faces. Paintings and drawings, on cardboard, canvas, bags, paper, scattered on the walls, a queen-sized comforter, pillow cases, sculptures in clay, and projection of digital work on the ceiling recalls the sense of a dream, brought to life.
